Case: A case is presented of a 90 year old male patient with a Open Reduction and Internal Fixation of a hip fracture. The wound was treated with Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) using the Ohio Medical MoblVac® and a silver dressing because of history of patient infection. Gauze dressing was applied over the silver contact layer. Intermittent NPWT was applied. Because of the unique properties of the silver contact layer, dressings were changed only twice a week. Using this NPWT device and treatment scheme, rapid healing occurred within 8 weeks, after which NPWT was discontinued and the wound was treated with traditional methods.
Conclusion: The Ohio Medical NPWT System with TruSeal™ Link technology provided rapid wound healing, reduced dressing changes and nursing time.

Case: A case is presented of a 56 year old female patient with a bilateral salpingo oophorectomy and partial omentectomy for cystic pelvic mass. At 2.5 weeks, the patient had superficial wound dehiscence and cellulitis that required surgical debridement and application of Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT). The patient was discharged one day later with the Ohio Medical MoblVac®. Homecare staff changed gauze dressings 3x/week with continuous pressure. Using this NPWT device and treatment scheme, rapid healing occurred with the wound within 8 weeks.
Conclusion: The Ohio Medical NPWT System with TruSeal™ Link technology provided rapid wound healing and reduced nursing time.

Case: A case is presented of a female patient treated for an infected abdominoplasty incision. Approximately one week after the abdominoplasty, the patient required a surgical debridement, resulting in a large open wound of 12 x 45 cm with 10 cm of undermining along the entire superior border. On 9/28/09, the wound measured 10 x 50 x 6cm with 10cm of undermining. Two days later, the patient began using the Ohio Medical MoblVac® for NPWT. Homecare staff changed gauze dressings 3x/week and used continuous pressure. Within 5 days of application, the undermining was closed and the wound went on to heal in 9 weeks. Rapid healing of this large complex wound was achieved using the Ohio MoblVac NPWT method.
Conclusion: The Ohio Medical NPWT System with TruSeal™ Link technology provided rapid wound healing for a large, voluminous, complex wound.
